Set in the parking lot of the Trickster Cultural Center in Schaumburg Town Square, this lively farmers market brings together local growers and artisans. Browse seasonal produce including fruits, vegetables, organic options and microgreens, along with pasture-raised meats, cheeses, flowers, plants, and dog treats crafted by area producers. Shoppers will also find knife sharpening available on site and handcrafted body care items. A range of ready-to-eat choices is offered, such as pizza, breakfast sandwiches, empanadas, pierogies, crepes, lemonade, kettle corn, coffee, and Italian ice. For the comfort and safety of everyone, pets, bicycles, roller skates, skateboards, and scooters are not permitted within the market.

Dancing Queen: An ABBA Salute brings the feel of ABBA to the Performance Pavilion at Heritage Park, led by two dynamic female vocalists with heavenly vocals and supported by a lineup of highly accomplished musicians who revive the iconic sound. Admission is free.

At Goodwin Park, this free community session helps dog owners practice training around real world distractions in a public setting and offers dogs a chance to socialize from a respectful distance. The session is led by certified trainer Shannon Joe. For the comfort and safety of all, keep dogs on a standard, non retractable leash. Avoid dog to dog greetings and give extra space if any dog seems uneasy. Owners are expected to clean up after their pets. The District provides waste bags at the park, though bringing your own is recommended.

An open volunteer session at the studio offers projects for both people who sew and those who do not. Participants with intermediate or higher sewing skills can learn to make angel gowns and are asked to bring a portable sewing machine. Non-sewing roles include tracing and cutting pattern pieces, assembling sewing kits, trimming ribbon to length, taking apart donated wedding dresses, prepacking angel gowns for delivery, checking in wedding dress donations, photographing gowns or finished angel gowns, and related tasks. A break is planned around midday, with bottled water and snacks provided, and personal lunches are welcome. Stay for the whole session or drop in for a shorter time.

This cleanup welcomes company teams seeking a shared team-building experience as well as individual volunteers, and it is one of four held each year. When the trash collection wraps up, participants continue to support local businesses by gathering for a happy hour at a nearby food and beverage spot. Equipment is arranged so everyone can take part.
