Floats, groups, and bands are welcome to take part with no entry fee. Participants should check in at the registration table at 3rd and Market Street upon arrival for instructions and submit a completed registration form to the Wabash County Chamber of Commerce. Prizes will be awarded in categories that include Best Use of Theme, Best Use of Lights, Best Decorated Vehicle, Originality Award, Spirit Award, and Best of Parade. The theme is “CELEBRATING 250 YEARS,” and entries are encouraged to feature music, singing, and plenty of holiday lights, whether that means polishing up a Jeep, a tractor, or an enchanted carriage. Please make your organization or business name clearly visible and keep lights on after lining up, as judges will not be identified. For safety, nothing may be thrown from parade entries to the crowd; use walkers to hand out items along the route. No Santas of any kind are permitted in entries, as Santa appears on the fire truck in the finale. In accordance with city ordinance, any animals must be accompanied by a cleanup crew. For questions, call (618) 262-5116.

    PERFORMANCE: It's A Wonderful Life

    Vincennes · 432 Broadway St

A well known holiday story comes to the stage in a faithful adaptation that follows George Bailey of Bedford Falls. His guardian angel, Clarence, shows him how different the town would be if he had never been born, revealing the quiet value of his life. The production brings back familiar figures such as Mary, Uncle Billy, Violet, and the hard hearted Mr. Potter. It highlights the spirit of the season and underscores American ideals of hard work, fair play, and the strength found in family and community.
