Competition uses a round robin format within brackets so every team can expect multiple games, with top performers advancing to a championship matchup in their bracket. Brackets may be combined or adjusted based on participation. Each team selects a single bracket. Open divisions include men’s, women’s, and mixed doubles. Senior divisions mirror those options, with eligibility beginning at age 55. Teams should be ready to provide information for both players when registering. The fund is now recognized as an official 501.3c organization. The route begins and ends at the post, with registration followed by the group ride. The route is easy to moderate and suitable for most ages and experience levels. Surfaces may include gravel, sections with stairs, and areas with exposed roots. After the show, a post-show meet and greet and fan fest offers photos, autographs, and chances to win prizes such as jerseys and goggles. As part of the St. Joseph County Fair, the experience continues with rides, 4-H animals, exhibits, and a wide variety of classic fair eats, from burgers and barbecue to corn dogs, cheese curds, funnel cakes, fried Oreos, cotton candy, lemonade, and more, along with beverage options for adults. A campus run featuring a 5K and a competitive 1 mile comes together in partnership with Fleet Feet Mishawaka and the IU South Bend Titans women’s soccer program, hosted by the IUSB Women’s Soccer Team X Run Club. The route starts and finishes at the Student Activity Center and follows a paved loop through the grounds. This is an untimed event. The competitive mile provides race bibs, and finish photos will be used to confirm the overall winner, who will receive IU South Bend women’s soccer merchandise. The 5K welcomes both runners and walkers and does not include bibs. Check-in and same-day registration are available, and participants may take part in both races or choose one. The event goes on rain or shine. Parking is available in the large lot in front of the Student Activity Center, cash is accepted during check-in, and all registrations are non-refundable. Entry is $5, with additional donations appreciated. Proceeds help the IU South Bend women’s soccer team purchase properly fitted running shoes for preseason training to support injury prevention, athlete health, and performance. Before the races, games, activities, and raffles add to the festivities for all ages. During packet pickup, each registration includes one raffle ticket and two carnival tickets, with more available for purchase on site.
