Live music and street performers create a lively atmosphere. Meet the producers and creators behind the offerings and discover something new each week, with around 100 vendors on average representing high quality local businesses. Admission is free and dogs are welcome. As the year moves toward the holidays, the market transitions into a festive Holiday Market Season with seasonal foods, unique handmade gifts, and special vendors, with details for a separate Holiday Market event to be shared in early fall.

James McMurtry appears with his longtime band The Martial Law Review for a performance that spotlights his vivid storytelling and finely drawn characters. His most recent album, The Black Dog and the Wandering Boy, arrived on New West Records, co-produced with Don Dixon, and includes contributions from Sarah Jarosz, Charlie Sexton, Bonnie Whitmore, and Bukka Allen. The Martial Law Review features Tim Holt on guitar and accordion, Cornbread on bass, and Daren Hess on drums. The new collection pulls threads from family history, including a Ken Kesey sketch for its cover, visions recounted by his father Larry McMurtry, and a poem from a family friend. The songs balance humor and heartache, with arrangements shaped by Americana roots and a keen, inventive touch. His previous New West release, The Horses and the Hounds, also drew praise for its storytelling from outlets such as UnCut Magazine and Pitchfork. A full bar will be available during the event. Seating is limited and offered on a first come, first served basis. All ages are welcome unless noted otherwise. Support acts may change. Experience a free, weekly Monday evening barbershop singing session that builds toward a 75th Anniversary show. Participants learn three barbershop songs and have the chance to take the stage as part of the program. Staying past the scheduled wrap-up is welcome. Classical Revolution ICT is a nonprofit focused on reshaping the classical experience by taking it out of the concert hall and into the gathering places people frequent, especially breweries.

At The Cotillion in Wichita, KS, Braxton Keith takes the stage with special guest Cole Goodwin. The Midland, Texas native arrives behind his debut album, Real Damn Deal, a collection that embraces classic country roots while speaking to the present. Raised on legends like Porter Wagoner, Ronnie Milsap, and George Strait, Keith built his reputation on Texas stages after college, then broadened his reach nationwide, signing with Warner Records Nashville and amassing 400 million streams worldwide. Real Damn Deal was shaped over two years on the road and spans 15 tracks, with Keith co-writing most of them. The music moves from hard-charging honky tonk to buoyant Western swing, settles into late-night ballads, and kicks up two-step numbers, all delivered with a clear, lonesome-tinged twang. Themes of whirlwind romance and hard-earned heartache run throughout, reflecting an artist devoted to showcasing every shade of country, from campfire intimacy to wide-open Western spirit.
