Kick off the market’s 36th year with an opening day filled with hometown flavor. Enjoy live music and an array of food trucks, and look for a visit from local favorite Troubles the Clown. It is the largest grower-owned farmers market in Kansas, creating a lively setting to explore local tastes and craftsmanship.

For more than three decades, this Saturday tradition in Wichita has brought together growers, makers, artists, musicians, and the community for a lively open-air market experience. Each week features farm-fresh produce and meats, small-batch and artisan foods, local art and handmade goods, along with ready-to-enjoy meals, refreshing drinks, live music, and street performers. Stroll the stalls, meet the people behind the products, and discover something new on every visit. With around 100 vendors most weeks, there is plenty to explore. Admission is free and dogs are welcome. As the season turns toward winter, the market shifts into a Holiday Market Season filled with festive vendors, seasonal foods, and distinctive handmade gifts.

This live, in-person consignment auction focuses on farm machinery and construction equipment. Consignors may bring tractors, trailers, skid steers, combines, tillage equipment, backhoes, trucks, livestock equipment, excavators, vehicles, attachments, hay, fencing, power tools, and landscaping equipment. Tires are not accepted. Concessions will be available during the sale. The event is conducted by Gene Francis & Associates, which has been running live equipment auctions for decades.

Now in its 26th year, this renaissance and Scottish celebration brings pageantry and family fun to Wichita. The Wichita Highland Games highlight traditional feats of strength, and a Kansas Authors Pavilion puts the spotlight on reading and storytelling. Hot Dog Saturdays have returned to Atwoods. Guests can get two hot dogs and a drink for $1 on scheduled dates. The event benefits local charities and community organizations. This promotion is not offered at the Crowley, TX, Norman, OK, or Tyler, TX stores.

The 17th annual Bikers For Boobs features a bike show, a bike stereo competition, live and silent auctions, raffles, food, and a 50/50. All proceeds go to Victory In The Valley, which supports cancer patients in Kansas.

Participants often gather in a circle to explore quick games that spark spontaneity, invite play, and turn mistakes into moments worth celebrating. Expect plenty of laughter while building confidence, listening, and creativity that carry into everyday life. It is designed for adults 18 and older, and the first visit is free.

Learn practical overdose prevention and response skills at a recurring naloxone training held on the last Saturday of each month. Participants explore anti-stigma approaches, opioid history and education, fentanyl myth busting, recognition of overdose signs and symptoms, naloxone use, ways to support youth affected by substance use, and how to connect with local resources and care. Attendees leave with a supply of harm reduction materials that can include naloxone, fentanyl test strips, a CPR mouth shield, and other optional items. Bringing note-taking materials, fidget toys, snacks, and beverages is welcome to help you stay comfortable. The training curriculum can be emailed afterward for your records.

Celebrate the season with an evening of visual art, live music, and local history in Haysville’s historic district at W.W. Hays Village Historic Park. Explore an art walk featuring area artists and makers, enjoy performances throughout the evening, step inside historic buildings, watch blacksmithing in action, and browse unique handmade goods. Food and drink vendors will be available, along with family-friendly activities and the annual Ainsley’s Angels Art Raffle. Lawn chairs are welcome for comfortable listening and time with friends. Presented by the City of Haysville and the Haysville Historic Committee. In case of bad weather, many activities will move indoors.

Cherry Bomb’s third anniversary will be marked with an outdoor roller skating night at Hap McLean Park in Park City. This free, all ages gathering welcomes skaters of every level. Plan to bring personal skates because rentals are not provided, and anyone without skates can visit Cherry Bomb beforehand to get outfitted. The rink features smooth concrete, so indoor wheels will work. If you want to avoid scuffing a newer indoor setup, consider an older indoor set or wheels designed for outdoor use. Scooters and skateboards are not permitted on the rink during the event, but the adjacent skate park offers space for other wheels. A DJ and a food truck will be on site to keep the energy high.

Todd’s Creole Kitchen offers an upscale Sunday brunch buffet every week. Enjoy a blend of classic breakfast dishes alongside Cajun favorites from the menu, plus more to explore.

The Wichita-Sedgwick County Historical Museum offers free public admission on Sundays, made possible since 2022 through a gift from the Ruth Spooner Stone Charitable Trust, INTRUST Bank. Housed in Downtown Wichita within the city’s original 1890 City Hall, the museum features numerous exhibits and thousands of artifacts that illuminate local history. The Museum Store carries books along with locally themed souvenirs and gifts. Regular admission is $5 for adults and $2 for children, with free entry every Sunday, and members always receive free admission. The museum is accredited by the American Alliance of Museums.

Donate blood at an American Red Cross drive at NewMarket Square. The collection site will be set up in the space next to Bella Luna. Walk-ins are welcome, and appointments are encouraged. Your contribution can help save lives, and every pint counts.

Step into the spirit of the jianghu as the Wichita Wuxia & Xianxia Market returns for its second edition at Botanica's Chinese Garden of Friendship. Explore genre-themed creations from artists, artisans, and other vendors. Dressing as a favorite Chinese martial arts hero or mythical character is welcome to enhance the atmosphere, and there will be unique photo opportunities throughout the garden. New activities are planned, with further details to be announced.

As part of an ongoing reopening celebration, the multi-platinum trio Lady A, recipients of Grammy awards, performs live in concert. Tickets are available for purchase.
