Salsa Cubana Level 2.5

Advance your Cuban salsa with a Level 2.5 class created for dancers who have already completed Level 2. Build on your foundation by practicing fresh variations and combinations that strengthen social dancing skills. You will work on transitioning smoothly between open and closed positions, polish left and right turns, and explore Cuban-style rotation with an emphasis on the dance’s circular flow rather than a straight line. This makes a useful bridge into more comfortable partner work. The class is held at The Salsa Center Dance Studio. The fee is $15 per person per class, and drop-ins are welcome. A choreography-focused bellydance fundamentals series centers on the use of silk butterfly wings and blends foundational Middle Eastern technique with theatrical fusion. Held at Arabesque World Dance, the classes develop essential posture and grounding, along with hip drops, lifts, shimmies, and traveling steps.
