John’s Run/Walk Shop hosts a free community 5K in Lexington’s Hamburg area for runners and walkers of all paces. Run/Walk Club returns to the Kentucky Horse Park with a free, community-focused way to explore scenic grounds on foot. Participants can choose a marked 1.5 mile or 3 mile loop, both beginning at the Visitor’s Center. Spill the Tea is a free connection group for Women of Color facilitated by Wanda McCants, LPCC-S. It offers a caring space for Black and Brown women to be acknowledged, supported, and encouraged while exploring what self love looks like in everyday life. Conversations focus on being kind to yourself, allowing room for change, and letting go of what no longer helps. Compassion and empathy are embraced as qualities you already deserve. Each gathering follows a gentle structure and features a shared tea. To keep things sustainable, participants are asked to bring a personal mug. The group is open and welcomes attendees on an ongoing basis.

This free support group provides a welcoming space for people navigating a stroke diagnosis. Compassionate staff members facilitate each session, listen with care, and guide the program. The group is open to the public and offers time to socialize, share coping strategies, learn about resources, and support one another.
