SportscenterOMG!con 2026
Held at the Owensboro Convention Center, this volunteer-run, non-profit convention has grown from an anime and video game focus to a celebration of broader pop culture. The gaming area features classic and modern consoles, arcade machines, a stage for tournaments, and showcases from independent developers. The exhibitor hall spans more than half of the first floor with over 70 artists and vendors, plus a swag section and a charity raffle. Outside, boffer LARP activities take place on the front lawn. Inside, screening rooms and a manga library offer relaxing breaks between more than 200 panels. A spacious tabletop zone hosts board games and trading card game tournaments, and a dedicated chibi room welcomes young fans. Highlights also include a cosplay contest, a lively dance party, and a formal ball, with additional programming throughout. The event prioritizes inclusivity and affordability, aiming to provide a welcoming space where the community can connect over shared interests and be themselves.
