Afroman’s story moves from homemade tapes to a Grammy-nominated breakthrough and a wide-ranging catalog. He began making songs in eighth grade, recording at home and selling tapes to classmates. An early track about a teacher spread quickly, and he also built his musical foundation in church on drums and guitar. After releasing My Fro-losophy in 1998, he moved to Hattiesburg, Mississippi, where he connected with drummer Jody Stallone, keyboardist and bassist Darrell Havard, and producer Tim Ramenofsky, also known as Headfridge. Working with Ramenofsky, he put out Because I Got High in 2000 on T-Bones Records, sharing it at shows and through Napster until the title song caught attention on The Howard Stern Show. Sparked by a simple reluctance to clean his room, the track grew into a playful look at everyday plans getting sidetracked, became a hit in 2001, appeared in Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, The Perfect Score, and Disturbia, and earned a 2002 Grammy nomination for Best Rap Solo Performance. That momentum led to a slot at Cypress Hill’s Smoke Out with the Deftones, Method Man, and others, a six-album deal with Universal, and The Good Times in 2001, which drew from his first two releases with new material. From 2004 on, Afroman focused on independent, internet-driven releases, including Jobe Bells, a satirical spin on holiday standards. He later appeared at the 2010 Gathering of the Juggalos. In 2014 he revisited Because I Got High with a remix tied to marijuana legalization efforts in the United States. In 2021 he signed with Cosmic Wire, led by artist and producer BLAZAR and BJ Klock, and introduced the single WHOLEthing ahead of an upcoming album.

The Marshall Tucker Band delivers a performance of Southern rock built around favorites like Heard It In A Love Song, Can't You See, Fire On The Mountain, Long Hard Ride, and Ramblin. The current lineup features Doug Gray on lead vocals, B.B. Borden on drums, Ryan Ware on bass and vocals, Marcus James Henderson on keyboards, saxophone, flute and vocals, Chris Hicks on guitar and vocals, and Rick Willis on guitar and vocals. Formed in Spartanburg, South Carolina in 1972, the group took its name from a piano tuner whose name appeared on the key to their first rehearsal space, and they have been energizing audiences around the world ever since. Their catalog includes over twenty studio albums along with many live releases and multi-platinum sales. Concerts often draw from decades of standouts, from Take the Highway on their 1973 debut to the radio classics that followed. Their influence spans generations of listeners and includes long-standing connections with peers such as The Charlie Daniels Band, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Collective Soul. Guided by Doug Gray and his bandmates, they continue to travel widely and share songs that strike a chord from the first note.
