Celebrate Recovery in Paducah offers a welcoming gathering with a large group session followed by Open Share conversations. The Paducah Homegrown Farmers' Market showcases fresh produce, handcrafted items, and hometown favorites alongside live music each week. Held on Saturdays in Paducah, the season wraps up with a special Fall Festival celebration.

Paducah’s Emancipation Celebration honors the moment in 1863 when freedom began reaching enslaved African Americans across parts of Tennessee and Western Kentucky. For more than a century and a half, families have gathered each August to remember the sacrifices of earlier generations, reconnect with loved ones, and pass history to the next generation, making it one of the region’s longest-running African American homecomings. This year also recognizes 50 years of the W.C. Young Community Center, which has helped plan and preserve Paducah’s 8th of August Emancipation tradition. Festivities include a 5k run and walk, a parade, a community party at Robert Coleman Park, the Golden Jubilee Car Show, and the Lincoln Legacy Game Day.

The bookmobile will be parked at Price Less IGA with an activity and materials available for checkout. Stop by for a chance to pick up something fun and take it home.

Crochet Club offers a relaxed meetup for people who already know how to crochet as well as anyone who wants to bring another type of art project to work on. Participants can bring works in progress and spend the evening chatting and stitching alongside others. This is not an instructional event. It is open to ages 16 and up. Attendance is free for those who already know how to crochet or bring their own art to work on, but seating is limited, so please RSVP.
