Garden & Grace offers relaxed, behind-the-gates garden tours that invite visitors to slow down, walk the space together, and hear what is growing and thriving in New Orleans, along with what the gardeners are learning along the way. This is not a formal class, it is an easygoing time to ask questions and connect with the garden. Guests can sit and unwind in the pollinator garden, visit the resident bunny, chat with gardeners about plants, growing, and seasonal tips, and discover something new each week. With a little luck, there may be something fresh to harvest. The experience is free and open to the community, with a welcoming, come-as-you-are feel.

Designed for teens ages 13 to 18, NOMA’s Teen Book Club is a summer reading and discussion series that builds engagement with literature while connecting participants to the museum through stories, art, culture, and community. Sessions are available in person in the Art Studio on NOMA’s second floor or online via Zoom. Participation is free, and attendees should bring their own copy of the monthly selection. Choices throughout the summer highlight art and teen interests, with a back-to-school pick drawn from the Louisiana English Language Arts required reading list.

Roll, squish, flatten, and more with Play-Doh during this weekly, hands-on play session. Each time will feature a new themed activity, with plenty of time for free play afterward.

A long-running, family-friendly comic convention returns to the Pontchartrain Center. Features include comic book sellers, toy, TCG and collectible vendors, artists, guests, cosplay, and more.

Drop by Music Box Village for interactive open hours featuring a sonic-sculpture garden and hands-on “musical architecture” installations. Music Box Village is home to over 14 musical houses created with local, regional, and visiting artists, and each installation creates sound in its own way. Come explore, play, and jam with fellow visitors. Fun for all ages.

Join YALA Baby ArtsPlay!™ at the New Orleans Jazz Museum for “Let’s Move!” Designed for little ones ages birth to 3, this in-person workshop focuses on how movement supports early brain development. You’ll learn simple ways to keep your child moving and engaged whether they’re crawling, walking, or running.

Join Art Camp 504 for a hands-on summer camp where kids ages 6 to 14 create and explore their own ideas. Each day runs from late morning into the afternoon, and the week includes fun, creative activities like fashion shows, puppet performances, and talent showcases, plus a final wrap-up presentation for family and friends. There are also optional extended hours available, including beforecare and aftercare.
