Curious about Friends Academy for your child? Welcome Wednesday offers a snapshot of school life. Guests begin at the All-School Meeting, a weekly community gathering where students of all ages share favorite books, classroom projects, and songs. There is time to connect with other parents and guardians over coffee or tea. Afterward, the Admissions Office leads a brief group tour, and school leaders explain what sets Friends Academy apart. The visit wraps up with clear guidance on the enrollment process, including how to apply and arrange a student visit.

Set aside a peaceful hour for Zen meditation led by Unshin Sangaku Dan Joslyn-sensei. Each session includes guided and silent meditation. The practice is free and open to everyone, with donations welcome. Dan founded and teaches the Falmouth Soto Zen Sangha and has more than twenty years of teaching experience.

Enjoy casual Commander play, form your own pods, bring friends, and find decks to play against. Participation is free. An optional raffle offers a chance to win prizes, with additional prizes added as entries increase. With 32 or more raffle participants, first place wins a play booster box.

Elementary school students through grade 6 can get free math support in a drop-in study group led by Veronia, a ninth-grade intern with Mathnasium of Canton. The session offers homework help, test preparation, and math games.

Explore the physical, mental, and emotional benefits of yoga in a welcoming class for people of all abilities, ages, and body types. Led by Audra Andrade, who lives with low vision, the class is suitable for people who are blind or have low vision. Bring a yoga mat, water bottle, and hand towel. Admission is free for guests ages 18–21 with valid ID presented at the front desk.

People of all ages and talents are welcome to enjoy local performances. There are 10 openings for entertainers, with up to 10 minutes for each performance. Audience members select the performance order at random using the “Oracle Ukulele.” Admission is free, and donations are appreciated.

This program focuses on practical ways to experience and share joy, blending guided activities with group discussion led by Saramaria Allenby. It welcomes both one-time drop ins and ongoing participation across the year, and there is no cost to attend. Sessions are held at the library. Saramaria Allenby serves the Falmouth community as a chaplain with support from Upper Cape Chaplaincy. She has many years of experience offering secular spiritual support, and she also serves as a chaplain at Falmouth Hospital and a counselor with Kairos Counseling. She lives in Falmouth with her family.
