The quartet features pianist Chris Taylor, whose deep roots in Philadelphia’s 1980s jazz scene include performances with Philly Joe Jones, Bobby Durham, Mickey Roker, Jack Six, Christian McBride, Charles Fambrough, Joe Ford, Al Cohn, and Larry McKenna. More spooky offerings will be added as the weekend approaches, with the full schedule and updates available in the Pinewood app. These themed weekends are for campers staying at Pinewood Lodge Campground and their guests.

Fool & The World, a band from Brattleboro, VT, delivers a hybrid of indie rock, folk, and funk with commanding vocals, tight ensemble work, and a lively stage presence. Influences include Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rage Against the Machine, Fleet Foxes, Gogol Bordello, and Tom Waits. Expect driving, dance-friendly rhythms, catchy choruses, and moments that invite audience interaction. The sound connects with indie and folk listeners along with rock and jam fans, fitting equally well in intimate listening rooms and high-energy spaces.

This duo performance brings together Jon Pousette-Dart and Jim Chapdelaine. Pousette-Dart began carving out his musical path as a teenager in the 1960s and went on to lead the original Pousette-Dart Band, which built a loyal national audience through the 1970s and early 1980s with five Capitol releases that resonated on album radio. After the band wrapped, he continued creating new work, returning to writing and recording in earnest alongside many of Nashville’s finest. Chapdelaine contributes a wide range of experience as a producer, composer, recording engineer, and guitarist, and is a four-time Emmy recipient. He studied guitar with Pat Metheny at Berklee College of Music, produced projects for artists such as Phoebe Snow, Hassan Hakmoun, the Allman Brothers, and his own band the Feathermerchants, and has collaborated with Chuck Leavell, Paula Cole, and Delbert McClinton. His mastering credits include work for KC Jones, Aztec Two Step, and Clarence Clemons with Bruce Springsteen Live at Asbury Park. His television portfolio includes award-winning work for PBS, The History Channel, and Dateline NBC, and he has taught at Hartt since 2002.

A day at Plymouth Long Beach is dedicated to bringing animals closer to home in memory of Rita Bryant, with proceeds benefiting local equine rescues and animal shelters. Participants can ride a horse, walk a dog, or take part on foot, and everyone is welcome without needing HRC membership. All attendees receive a small gift for their animal companion. Special prizes will go to the three participants who collect the highest sponsorship totals. Among HRC members, the top fundraiser at this event will be recognized at the year-end awards banquet with an award. HRC members also earn 5 miles toward the milestones program after submitting the required paperwork, and this outing counts as an HRC trail ride. The participation fee is 20 dollars. A small volunteer team spends many hours coordinating and securing private donations so the entire celebration, including the parade and fireworks, is made possible by community contributions. Tastes range from baked goods, fudge, and nuts to specialty foods, beverages, and local wines. Admission includes a weekend pass bracelet.
