Robbie Pate brings voice and piano to Cape Cod for a collaboration with the Cape Cod Jazz Trio. His path spans Brooklyn stages, Tokyo jazz clubs, and major halls such as the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall, grounded by studies at Berklee College of Music and the New England Conservatory and a style that moves easily through jazz, pop, and R&B. Highlights include touring with the Alexey Podymkin Quartet and the Yuki Futami Trio in Japan, appearing at Fenway Park with the Zac Brown Band, holding a residency at Tin Pan Alley in Provincetown, performing with The Matt Savage Groove Experiment, and teaching ensemble musicians at Berklee and the Longy School of Music. On the bandstand with him are Fred Boyle on piano, Ron Ormsby on bass, and Bart Weisman on drums, a frequent organizer of jazz performances on the Cape. The program centers on close-knit interplay between the trio and a versatile guest artist. Tickets are $35, with a $30 rate for members.
