An experienced host teaches foundational hand-building techniques such as pinch and coil methods, then shows how to turn them into functional pieces like vases, planters, mugs, or bowls. Personalize your creation with details like handles, textures, footed bases, or playful faces. All materials and tools are provided. The atmosphere is relaxed and beginner friendly, welcoming first timers, solo attendees, and groups. Participants leave with a handmade piece that reflects their style. A ceramic finishing upgrade is available for an additional cost, allowing one selected item to be taken back to the studio for glazing and firing to make it waterproof and food safe, then shipped back when finished in about six to eight weeks. Under the guidance of instructor Audrey Carrel, this class meets in person for two sessions, each three hours long, with additional weekly gatherings during the regular Textiles Open Studio at MAXT for ongoing support. Participants will cast on and work a stylish sweater constructed without seams, practice a flexible bind off, and block the finished garment. Knitters should already be comfortable casting on, working knit and purl stitches, and making increases and decreases. Bring worsted or aran weight yarn and US 7 circular needles with a 32 inch cable. Plan on about 600 yards for size XS/SM, 800 yards for M/L, 1000 yards for XL to 2X, and 1200 yards for 3X to 5X.

Keene State College's Music Department hosts a recital highlighting vocalists from all of its voice studios. The program takes place in Alumni Recital Hall at the Redfern Arts Center at Keene State College. Tickets are $15 for the general public and $10 for seniors 65 and over. K-12 students and KSC students, faculty, and staff receive free admission.

Each ticket helps support The Shout Syndicate, contributing twenty-five cents to a volunteer-run Boston initiative that funds youth-led arts programs at established nonprofit creative youth development organizations across Greater Boston.
