Born from community feedback in Salisbury, TogetherWeTHRIVE is introducing a monthly gathering at The Brick Row Marketplace. Coffee Couch Corner brings LGBTQ community members, allies, and neighbors together in a warm setting to listen, share, and exchange ideas. Conversations center on issues people face today, with space for both big questions and everyday challenges. The goal is collaborative problem solving and an ongoing dialogue that deepens from month to month.

Join the whole family for a hands-on ocean science experience at Inside the Wild: Ocean Edition. You’ll explore squid anatomy, learn how squids are adapted for life in the ocean, and take part in a guided squid dissection where groups can share a specimen. In addition to the dissection, there will be an engaging science lesson, time to examine real biofacts, and an interactive worksheet to take home. All supplies are provided, and advance registration is required. Tickets are $15 per person with a squid specimen or $5 per person without one. Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a registered adult.

Get a friendly crash course in tabletop roleplay games, including the basics of how to play and a walkthrough for building your own character. This session introduces the Call of Cthulhu system. Registration is required, and it closes on August 8, 2026 at 1:30 PM.

Game On! is a free summer recreation program from the City of Salisbury that brings active, park-based fun to Lake Street Playground and Doverdale Park and Playground. Kids can enjoy organized playground time, hands-on crafts, and outdoor games that build friendships and keep everyone moving in a positive neighborhood setting. A complimentary lunch is available each day for anyone under 18 through a partnership with Wicomico County Public Schools Food and Nutrition Services. Families are welcome and no advance registration is needed. The program is geared toward ages 8 to 18, and children younger than 8 need an adult with them.

Hosted by the City of Salisbury, Summer at Newton is a free program for kids and teens at the Newton Community Center. All summer, participants can make art, play games, experiment with music and video recording, explore STEM projects, learn basic cooking, and take part in occasional field trips. A free lunch is available each day for children under 18 through a partnership with Wicomico County Public Schools Food and Nutrition Services. All movements can be adapted to individual needs, making it approachable for a wide range of ages and fitness levels. Comfortable clothing is recommended. Time is set aside for quiet reflection, relaxation, and connection with others. By the conclusion of the series, participants will have techniques to support harmony of body, mind, and spirit. The fee is $30.
