Haynor School hosts its first 5K fun run and 1 mile family walk, organized by the Haynor Hawks PTO to support students and school programs. The 5K run is $25 and the 1 mile family walk is $20, with an event T-shirt included with registration. Participation is limited to 80 people, and registration will close once capacity is reached. All participants will receive a finisher medal. Registration fees help cover event expenses, and sponsorships provide direct support to the PTO. To ensure a T-shirt, please register by the stated deadline.

Miniature Game Day invites tabletop miniature enthusiasts to gather for a relaxed day of play and learning. Attendees can bring their own games to share, or discover how to get started with guidance from a friendly community.

The annual festival returns with the Westside Soul Surfers making their comeback.

This event features a sealed deck format with a $35 entry fee.

Set out for a peaceful evening on the water under a bright moon at the Wabasis Lake Park Boat Launch Pavilion. The gathering begins with casual social time and a brief club meeting, with snacks and non-alcoholic drinks available, followed by a launch near sunset. Once on the lake, the group will stay together for a relaxed circuit at an easy pace, with about two hours on the water. Plan to bring a kayak and paddle, a Type III PFD that must be worn at all times on the water, a sprayskirt if using a kayak, drinking water, clothing suitable for cooler evening temperatures, navigation or safety lights, a whistle secured to your PFD, a bilge pump, and basic safety gear. Because paddling will continue after dark, proper lighting is important. Small lights or glow sticks on the front and back of the boat are recommended, along with a headlamp for seeing gear and signaling. This outing is best for paddlers who are comfortable on open water and have basic boat control. Each participant is responsible for personal safety and decisions on the water. Please stay with the group and within sight of other paddlers, avoid drugs or alcohol before launch and during the paddle, and dress for the water temperature, which can be chilly in the fall. If night paddling is new to you, let an organizer know before launching. The event depends on weather conditions and may be adjusted or canceled in the case of severe weather or high winds.

Step into the world of Anne Shirley with an afternoon tea that celebrates kindred companionship and storybook charm. Enjoy raspberry cordial alongside other bright red refreshments, plus cakes, sandwiches, cherry preserves, fruitcake, and a generous selection of classic tea bites. Make your own flower crown and share in lighthearted recitations, all in a setting that feels as if it could be Marilla’s parlor or the White Sands hotel. Tickets are $45 per person and include the flower crown activity, tea-time food, tea, and a serving of raspberry cordial. Additional drinks and gratuity are not included. A $10 deposit is required to hold a spot.
