Kick off a five-week East Coast Swing Single Time series at Faith Lutheran Church of Coon Rapids. The evening opens with warm-up and practice music, followed by a guided lesson, then open dance time with a variety of music. Instruction is professionally led in a progressive format, with a review of the previous week’s material before adding new steps, which makes the first two sessions a comfortable starting point for beginners. No partner is required due to frequent rotation, and dancers of all experience levels are welcome. A suggested donation of $10 is appreciated, with payment accepted by cash, Venmo, or check, and change available. Pre-paid dance cards are available for $45 for five weeks, offering a $5 savings and no expiration. Water and mints are provided, with occasional treats. Dance socks are available to use or purchase. Please wear non-marking shoes or use dance socks to protect the floor. Music concludes at the end of the night and doors are secured afterward. Private lessons are also available.
