2026 Annual Student Exhibition Reception
A community reception and awards presentation for the 2026 Annual Student Exhibition takes place at the University of Minnesota Duluth. Hosted by UMD Art and Design, it highlights student creativity from across the university, with work spanning animation, ceramics, digital media, drawing, graphic design, motion graphics, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, and video. Visiting artists Mika Negishi Laidlaw, a ceramicist, and Jen White-Johnson, a graphic designer, served as jurors and selected 76 pieces from 290 submissions by 122 student artists. The Tweed Museum of Art is open for viewing of the exhibition before and after the awards presentation. Students from any college, school, or department who have completed an art or design course are eligible to submit a work for consideration.
