Artist Ginger Juel is a fiscal year 2026 recipient of a Creative Individuals grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board. Support is provided by the Minnesota State Arts Board through funding made possible by Minnesota voters via a legislative appropriation from the Minnesota State Legislature, and by a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts.

Celebrate fall at the fifth annual Applepalooza in Duluth, a free, family-friendly weekend at the DECC’s Pioneer Hall. Enjoy Dixon’s Champagne and Honeycrisp apples with fresh apple cider, live music throughout the weekend, more than 70 craft vendors featuring local artisans, a bouncy house for kids and kids at heart, food trucks, and a petting zoo with more than 20 animals plus horse and pony rides for all ages. This women’s hiking retreat explores the Superior Hiking Trail with a balance of adventure and comfort. Expect brilliant fall foliage and sweeping views of Lake Superior’s rugged shoreline while hiking roughly 7 to 10 miles each day under the care of two Wilderness First Responder guides in a supportive, women-only group. Evenings bring resort-style condo lodging, hot showers, a satisfying dinner, and a private bed, so there is no camping required. The activity level is rated 3 on a 1 to 5 scale and women of all ages are welcome. Group size is limited to eight participants plus two experienced guides, with pricing and more details to be shared soon.

Bring items that need simple fixes and, while the work is done, browse a selection of low waste goods. This clinic appears on the last Sunday of each month and focuses on quick, practical repairs.
