Share and take home useful items at a free, outdoor gifting meetup in the parking lot at Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Maple Grove. People bringing items arrive before the start to park and lay out their giveaways, and browsing begins only once the event opens. By the finish, campers will be on their path to becoming Funémon trainers.

At Weaver Lake Park in Maple Grove, this youth camp invites ages 8 to 17 to build confidence, collaborate with peers, and explore personal growth through outdoor adventures. Participants will craft art from natural materials, practice calming techniques, and tackle activities that boost problem solving, resilience, and connection with others. The experience concludes with a special visit from therapy llamas, offering a memorable capstone to the summer.

This level 5 sewing class centers on creating a quilt as a team. Participants discuss quilt design and fabric selection, practice classic and contemporary block styles, and take on a large scale piecing project. Everyone helps shape the overall look of the quilt top and chooses how they want to contribute. Each student takes home a sampler or mini quilt showcasing the techniques covered, and the finished full sized quilt is donated. Designed for students who have completed at least level 3.

New this season, Champlin’s POP Program invites young shoppers to visit the market booth, where children can receive a complimentary $2 token to spend on fruits and vegetables. SNAP/EBT is accepted, and all activities are weather dependent.

Settle in on the CAC front lawn for the summer Concert on the Lawn series featuring the Percolators Band. The set spans rock from the 60s and beyond, plus country, blues, R&B, and ballads.
