A friendly meet and greet at Anoka MN Army National Guard offers a chance for dancers and families to connect with Just For Kix. The event welcomes ages 2 to 18 and features time to meet director Makayla, participate in a complimentary trial class, and learn how the program works. Families can pick up informational handouts, ask questions, complete class registration, and take care of costume sizing. Extras include a photo booth and a coloring area. There are suggested segments for ages 2 to 7 and for ages 8 to 18, with a class led by Makayla and the style chosen by the director. This free Movie in the Park at the 21st Century Bank Event Center features Meet the Robinsons. Free popcorn will be available, and if the weather does not cooperate, the screening will move indoors. The film follows Lewis, a 12-year-old orphan and talented inventor who creates a memory scanner in hopes of finding his birth mother. After a villain called the Bowler Hat Guy sabotages the device, Lewis meets Wilbur Robinson, a boy who claims to be from the future. Their trip to the year 2037 introduces Lewis to Wilbur’s inventive family and leads to meaningful discoveries about perseverance and family.
