He also curates the Northwoods Songs blog and hosts the weekly Shamrock Shore program on Jazz88.fm. Drawing on a wide pool of regional talent, each performance brings a fresh mix of skilled traditional musicians for a lively night of tunes in the taproom.

Featured performers include award-winning saxophonist Steve Clarke and professional jazz vocalist Dorothy Doring. Clarke is a Minnesota musician, entertainer, bandleader, and multi-instrumentalist with 11 Minnesota Music Awards, three Grammy nominations, and induction into the Mid-America Music Hall of Fame, known around the Twin Cities for projects such as The Working Stiffs, Other Country Ensemble, Edmonds Station, and Louis & Clarke, and for solo sets that have greeted travelers at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport. Doring is a versatile vocalist and songwriter across jazz, rock, R&B, swing, and blues, lead singer for the swing band Swingin’ on a Star, and a familiar voice on stages including the Dakota Jazz Club, Crooners Supper Club, MN Music Cafe, the Twin Cities Jazz Festival, and Snug Harbor in New Orleans. This KFAI Board of Directors fundraiser directs 100 percent of proceeds to KFAI to help keep communities connected. Tickets are $70 in advance and $75 during the week of the event.
