    Ben Cook-Felz Vinyl Release Show

MetroNOME Brewery, 385 Broadway St, St Paul · verified Oct 9
    See details

Longtime Twin Cities songwriter and pianist Ben Cook-Feltz marks two decades of making music with a special night at MetroNOME Brewing celebrating Ben There Done That, a limited-edition best-of on vinyl. The set will span his catalog, weaving in seldom-heard songs alongside new material and favorites, including his moody take on Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville. Rather than a full band, he will perform primarily on solo piano and voice, with occasional cameos from friends Cole Mickelson, Andy Schuster, Peter Remiger and others. Fellow songwriter Matthew French will also play a short set. Known for sharp, observant lyrics and melodies that nod to classic 60s and 70s pop, Cook-Feltz has performed across Minnesota and the Midwest as a solo artist, with his band, and in support of regional peers like Mother Banjo, Haley E Rydell and Jaspar Lepak. His 2025 release Cook-Feltz Sings Son of Schmilsson drew praise from Adventures in Americana. French brings a heartfelt blend of Americana storytelling and rock energy, drawing on influences that include Tom Petty and David Ramirez, with his latest album Down The Line released in 2026. The Fitzgerald Theater, 10 Exchange St E, St Paul · verified Oct 9
    See details

On stage at The Fitzgerald Theater, Jessica McKenna and Zach Reino create a brand new musical in real time. Built entirely from improvisation, their show favors bold spontaneity over careful scripting. The quick witted duo behind the Off Book podcast have written and composed for the WGA award winning Peacock series Baking It with Maya Rudolph, Amy Poehler and Andy Samberg, and have contributed music and sketches to Rick and Morty, Party Over Here, the Peacock series Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin, BuzzFeed, Funny Or Die and Nickelodeon. They are also developing projects with Amy Poehler’s Paper Kite Productions, David Wain and Elizabeth Banks’ Brownstone Productions, and previously created and starred in the ABC digital series Serious Music. Their podcast has earned praise from IndieWire, USA Today, Parade, AV Club and Splitsider, and has appeared at Comedy Central’s Clusterfest, Moontower, the Just For Laughs festival in Montreal and Netflix Is A Joke in Los Angeles. Vulture named them among Comedians You Should and Will Know, and in early 2019 they released their first full length musical comedy record The Calendar Album with Comedy Dynamics. This is an all ages event. A strict ticket limit applies per customer and household and attempts to bypass it may result in order cancellation without notice.
