Created for women and teen girls who live with a bleeding disorder, this day retreat at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum is presented by the Upper Midwest Bleeding Disorders Alliance and hematology team members. At Chanhassen Dinner Theatres, Country Roads celebrates the music of John Denver in a tribute led by Dennis Curley. With a six piece band, the performance includes songs such as Take Me Home, Country Roads, Rocky Mountain High, Leaving on a Jet Plane, Annie’s Song, and Thank God I’m a Country Boy. Between numbers, Curley shares memories of growing up with Denver’s music and stories from friends and family. He also invites audience members to share their own experiences, creating a program that blends classic hits with personal reflections.

Community members will gather at Twin Oaks to decorate sidewalks with chalk, creating warm messages for teachers and staff as they return to school. After meeting, participants will divide into at least two groups to reach both middle schools and Bridges. Children are encouraged to take part. Chalk will be available, and bringing extra is welcome. Keep messages positive and centered on educators only, with no political content, school board campaign notes, or candidate names. Stop by for a few minutes or stay longer, and help set a cheerful tone for the new school year.

The moves draw from jazz, ballet, and hip hop, and the format is designed to help participants feel confident and strong. All ages are welcome, and no Eden Prairie residency or EPCC membership is required to attend.
