Get to know Jefferson City by bicycle with Community Bike Rides, a free series open to riders of every experience level. Rides occur twice each month and are geared toward newer and non-competitive cyclists, while experienced riders can enjoy exploring local routes and connecting with the community. This edition follows the Ice Cream Leads to Prison route, starting and finishing at Daisy Delight before heading out along Algoa Road toward the prison. Expect low traffic and mostly flat terrain, with a single hill on the return. Because much of the course retraces the same path, participants may turn back at any point to shorten the distance. Enjoy a free, family friendly showcase of the machines that keep the community moving at Capital Mall. Explore real vehicles up close and get hands on with the equipment. Fire engines, street sweepers, police vehicles, forklifts, farm tractors, and tow trucks will be on site for all ages to discover. Guests can press the horn, talk with the people who operate the machinery, and take plenty of photos. This experience is presented in conjunction with Capital Mall’s Safety Backpack event, with activities outside in the Dillard’s parking area and inside the mall. Root to Rise: Outdoor Community Yoga and Sound Bath brings a morning of mindful movement and soothing sound to the Governor’s Garden in Jefferson City, Missouri. Presented by Earthbound Awakening and Warrior1 Yoga, this free community gathering invites participants to slow down, reconnect with the body and breath, and relax in a peaceful outdoor setting. The experience begins with gentle yoga, then flows into a restorative sound bath featuring grounding energy and crystal sound bowls designed to calm the nervous system and encourage deep relaxation. Benefits may include reduced stress and anxiety, improved flexibility and circulation, greater mental clarity and emotional balance, and a lasting sense of inner calm. All experience levels are welcome, whether brand new to yoga or a longtime practitioner. Attendees are encouraged to bring a yoga mat and water, wear comfortable clothing, and consider inviting a friend who would appreciate a tranquil reset.

BCB Food Pantry offers community food assistance with streamlined sign up and a simple, stress-free process. Focused on supporting neighbors one box at a time, it provides an efficient distribution experience so participants can receive help without hassle. The atmosphere is welcoming and the steps are easy to follow from start to finish.

Rejuvenate your mind and body with a welcoming yoga class for all shapes, sizes, and abilities. Drop-ins are welcome, and there is no charge. Bringing a mat or towel is recommended if you have one, but it is not required. On the second Wednesday of the month, the class ends at 6:00 PM to allow time for a program setup.

An open mic at The Mission welcomes performers in music of any genre, along with poetry, comedy, spoken word, and dance. There is no cover, and tips are appreciated. Each performer gets a 15 minute slot that includes time to set up and perform. Musicians can appear solo, as a duo or trio, or with a larger group. Minors are welcome with a parent or guardian.
