The Artisan Market hosts a weekly, no-cost creative workspace each Thursday. Bring your in-progress pieces and spend time creating alongside other makers. Artists across crafts and fine arts are welcome to participate.

Kansas City’s First Fridays return to the Crossroads with a street market that celebrates the neighborhood’s creative spirit. The Crossroads Community Association and Art Garden KC are partnering to showcase the energy, culture, and art that define the district, expanding through the Art Alleys to connect vibrant galleries, restaurants, boutiques, lounges, and small businesses. Explore work from more than 100 local artists and makers, featuring handcrafted artwork, jewelry, ceramics, fashion, prints, and other original creations. Enjoy live music and mainstage performances hosted by DJ E of KKFI’s Energy & Jams, with a rotating lineup of local musicians and performers throughout the evening. Food trucks, local eats, and lively nightlife round out the experience, with nearby restaurants, breweries, galleries, and creative spaces to discover. This long-standing Kansas City tradition brings art, community, and creativity together across the Crossroads. Street parking and public garages are available, and the KC Streetcar provides convenient access. Art Garden KC vendor applications are handled only through official channels, and attendees should be aware of scams or impersonators claiming to sell vendor spots.

UA & Chill returns to River of Refuge with a family friendly gathering where everyone is welcome. Centered around cars and community, it brings people together to support fundraising for change. Attendees can enjoy coffee from Dunkin', donuts from Doughboys Donuts, music, vendors, and a raffle, and admission is free. Event guidelines emphasize respectful behavior at the facility, with no burnouts, no excessive engine revving, and no actions that could endanger others. The venue is alcohol and drug free, and participants are asked to be considerate of residents who are working through cessation programs.

Presented by the City of Liberty and Historic Liberty, Inc., this installment in the annual Historic Walking Tour Series focuses on downtown churches and the stories behind them. Expect insights into distinctive architecture along with surprising moments and early controversies tied to some of Liberty’s most historic congregations. Led by a mix of volunteers and local experts, these walks are popular with history and architecture enthusiasts from across the metropolitan area. Tours are open to the public and free unless otherwise noted. This tour meets in the courtyard at First Presbyterian Church.

Gnarly Hussle partners with KC Cannabis for a free backlot concert featuring The Unfinished, Perception Zero, and VULTURES!. The Unfinished deliver hard charging punk rock and roll led by vocalist Abigail Unfinished, with Cory Dean on guitar, Dustin Dec on drums, and Jon Sink on bass. Their songs span personal challenges and social themes, bringing honesty and high energy. Perception Zero blends post grunge grit with pop punk hooks, locking into tight grooves and layered vocals while building momentum across the Nebraska regional scene in anticipation of a debut release. VULTURES! bring melodic, bruised punk pop that confronts grief, memory, and moving forward, transforming hard truths into catchy stories and channeling catharsis through loud guitars. This show is free to attend.

This free community wellness class focuses on Thai Chi Chih and is led by Rachel Rilinger. The practice supports health, balance, and a sense of peace and welcomes participants of all ages and fitness levels.
