Arkadin Cinema & Bar, 5228 Gravois Ave, St. Louis · verified Sep 27
    See details

Alfred Hitchcock’s landmark thriller screens outdoors on the backlot patio. Frequently copied and, at times, curtailed by censors, this 1960 classic reshaped horror cinema. Drawing on Robert Bloch’s novel, which echoed aspects of the Ed Gein case, the tale starts as a tense crime drama about a young woman, played by Janet Leigh, who escapes with $40,000, then shifts into a nerve-tightening portrait of Norman Bates, portrayed by Anthony Perkins. Praised by Roger Ebert for the way it speaks to primal fears, and featuring the legendary shower sequence, Psycho still chills more than six decades later.

    The Pack Rack's Graveyard Smash

    The Pack Rack, 200 W 1st St, Farmington · verified Sep 27
    See details

A Halloween-themed trading experience fills The Pack Rack with a special Open Trade Day and Pack Wars. The day begins with the announcement of the Hallow-Evee-Ween 2026 Contest winners, then the “Haunted Bazaar” invites collectors to buy, sell, and trade Magic: The Gathering, Pokémon, Flesh and Blood, sports cards, and more. Tables are $5 and include one raffle ticket plus a candy bag, and costumes are encouraged with two raffle tickets for those who dress up. Throughout the event, Cursed Cards offers a free Pack Wars entry with the purchase of a skull-marked single. Trick-or-Trade adds a sweet twist to completed trades, where both traders draw from a candy dish. A green candy grants a free common or base card, an orange candy grants a free bulk rare, prizm, or reverse holo valued at $2 or less, and a black candy means the drawer owes the other person a soda or snack from concessions. The Cursed Vault Raffle runs all day, awarding one raffle ticket for every $10 in store purchases, with drawings later in the day for items like MTG Collector Boosters, Pokémon Elite Trainer Boxes, Flesh and Blood Armory Decks, and sports card products including hobby packs, blasters, and megas. Pack Wars: Zombie Pods is $6 per person. Each player receives one booster from a chosen trading card game and is grouped into pods of four. Players open their packs, avoid looking, add three basic resources such as lands or energy, start at 10 life with no mulligans, and battle using only the contents of the pack. The winner of each four-person pod takes all four packs, and in paired play the winner takes both. A sports version is also available, where all participants choose the same sports pack and a random stat determines the winner as the best or closest without going over. Every Pack Wars participant earns one raffle ticket, or two when in costume. “Monster Mashed” Commander is free. Players use a preconstructed Commander deck, and pods or pairs may agree on any format. Everyone starts with the same number of candy pieces. Take one candy from a player you defeat. The player holding the most candy at the end receives a King of the Graveyard playmat. Costumes are encouraged for extra treats and chances to win.
