The Friends of the St. Charles City-County Library present a large community book fair at the Family Arena in St. Charles. Admission is free for the public, and a special members-only shopping period is offered before general admission. Shoppers can browse more than 250,000 items, from hardbacks and paperbacks to AV materials, sets, and even cake pans. Prices are wallet friendly, with standard paperbacks at $1, oversize paperbacks at $2, hardbacks at $3, cake pans at $5, children’s and teen paperbacks and board books at 50 cents, children’s and teen hardbacks at $1, and AV materials plus adult graphic novels priced as marked. Payment is accepted by cash, check, or credit. A $5-a-bag promotion is available for most items, with standard-size plastic grocery bags provided on site. Nonprofits can receive free books with advance registration. A silent auction will run during the fair, available both in person via QR code and online, highlighting some of the more valuable donations. Known as one of the largest book fairs in the St. Louis area, it offers a wide selection at budget-friendly prices.

Where the Wild Things Play gives children the chance to explore natural settings alongside peers with gentle guidance that encourages independence and confidence. While kids dive into hands-on exploration, parents and guardians can take part in a ranger-led hike, a chance to explore or rediscover the outdoors for themselves. The program is free and designed for ages 7 to 11, and pre-registration is required. Sessions take place across St. Charles County parks, including Towne Park, Quail Ridge Park, Indian Camp Creek Park, Matson Hill Park, and Broemmelsiek Park.

Celebrate Jewish life and culture at the St. Charles Jewish Festival with live Jewish music, a Shuk (market) experience, international cuisine, and family entertainment. Admission, music, and kids activities are free, and while food is for sale, it is included as part of the festival experience. It is a fun, in-person day focused on sharing Jewish holidays, rituals, and traditions.

Now in its 21st year, the Baue Silver & Gold Club Senior Fair takes place at the Foundry Art Centre and welcomes the public at no cost. Attendees can meet more than 50 resource vendors, learn about community services, connect with local organizations, and enjoy giveaways. The event also includes live music by Scott & Liz. Vendor opportunities are available for businesses and organizations that offer products, services, or resources for older adults and their families.

The season wraps up with the classic rock energy of Johnny Rock-Itt. Food and treats will be available from Go Gyro Go, Hog Call BBQ, Lulu's Shaved Ice and Creamery, Beverly Ann's Cookie Truck, Pop N Pour, and the O'Fallon Mobile Concession. Admission and parking are free. Outside food and beverages are welcome, but no glass. Pets must be on a leash. Arrive early to secure a shady spot for the finale and to connect with event sponsors. Settle in at TANGO Argentina Food to watch the Cardinals on a giant 100-inch screen, with deep fried empanadas, cold beer, cocktails, and dulce de leche for dessert. This is an Argentine restaurant with great food and a big TV, not a sports bar, and it brings plenty of love for St. Louis baseball. All games listed for this event take place during open hours. There is no cover and no reservation is required, so come hungry and ready to cheer.

Thursday nights bring DJ-hosted trivia to Burnt Barrel Brewery & Distillery in Lake Saint Louis. Questions are mostly multiple choice and span a wide mix of subjects, giving participants plenty of ways to test their knowledge. Playing is free with a purchase, and all attendees must be 21 or older. The menu features signature cocktails, house spirits, and beverages made on site, including beers and meads. Look for Thursday-only offerings such as the "Genius Juice" cocktail and pulled pork tacos.
