Montgomery joined the Night Trippers, Dr. John’s backing singers, appeared on three of his albums, and contributed background vocals for the Rolling Stones, the Supremes, Barbra Streisand, Stevie Wonder, and Burt Bacharach. Onstage, she supported José Feliciano, Pink Floyd, Quincy Jones, B.B. King, Marvin Gaye, James Brown, Jerry Butler, Patti Labelle, Rod Stewart, Elton John, and Bobby Bland. The program highlights dynamic grooves, global drum voices, and the signature sound of Acoustik Element.
