SLHN hosts a relaxed park day at Indian Camp Creek Park in Foristell, Missouri. The group will gather at the playground by the lake, which includes a splash pad and a rope climbing course. Expect splashing at the water feature, climbing, and time to enjoy the outdoors with friends. The lake sits to the north and borders the area to the east and west, fishing is encouraged, and swimming is not allowed. Families curious about SLHN can use this outing to learn more about the group, and members are encouraged to welcome visitors and share information about the co-op. Drop offs are not permitted. A parent or guardian must keep children within their line of sight at all times. If a caregiver needs to step away, another designated adult may serve as the parent on duty during that time.

Zero to Ninety brings an evening of alternative rock to 370 Lakeside Park as part of Sunset Fridays, performed at the winery-inspired Corporate Pavilion by the lake. New this year, Gator’s Grill will be serving freshly grilled burgers, hot dogs, and more, with dessert treats from Beverly Ann’s Cookie & Ice Cream Truck, Lily’s Cafe, and Pretzel Boys. Seating beneath the pavilion is limited, so attendees are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket for the lawn. Any outside alcoholic beverages must remain in the lawn area and not inside the pavilion. Glass containers and pets are not permitted at Sunset Concert events. Now in its 20th year, Race for the Rivers features canoe, kayak, and SUP competitions with routes tailored for a wide range of skill and competition levels. Competitors start in Weldon Spring or at the Klondike Boat Ramp near Augusta and finish at Blanchette Landing in the historic Frenchtown area of St. Charles, Missouri. Two distances are available, a 20 mile race and a 30 mile race. The event encourages more people to get on the water and engage in river conservation. It serves as Greenway Network’s primary fundraising and environmental education initiative, with all proceeds supporting the organization’s education, outreach, and conservation efforts, including river cleanups throughout the year. Greenway Network is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

Steel Shop Athletics & Events transforms into a giant backyard playground filled with high-energy attractions. Expect 30-plus oversized inflatables and obstacle courses, an epic foam party by Foam and Flight, GellyBall by Big Time Fun Company, a mechanical bull, a four piece bungee trampoline, and refreshing water fun with a water slide and a slip and slide. Backyard games and friendly competitions run alongside lively music and a playful atmosphere. Between activities, explore more than 60 vendors and grab bites from a variety of food trucks. All-day access allows plenty of time to play, browse, and make memories from start to finish.

Following a venue change, the Summer Pop-Up will take place at the South Entrance of Harvester Christian Church. Enjoy free coffee and sweet treats prepared by the Coffee Crew, young adults with disabilities who are building real world job skills, confidence, and experience. Shop new Black Cat Coffee Café merchandise, including keychains, summer themed T-shirts, and popular classics. Tips are cash only and Venmo will not be accepted. Swap the Playroom and Cottle Village come together for a family-friendly morning centered on play, connection, and access to community resources. Children can explore a large play area filled with toys from the Swap the Playroom rental collection, offering plenty of opportunities to climb, discover, and play. Parents can meet carefully selected local partners who provide essential services for families in St. Charles County, with vendors participating by invitation to keep the focus on high-quality resources. Each booth includes a kid-friendly activity to keep little ones engaged while adults gather information. The gathering takes place at Cottle Village in Cottleville and offers an easy way to connect with other local families. To support the hosts, outside food and drinks are not permitted. Expect a relaxed mix of play and discovery for families.

Experience an exhibition filled with live music, food, and drink. Cars and motorcycles are welcome to register for $20 per vehicle, and all participants receive a dash plaque. The festival is free to attend and filled with activities such as lawn games, face painting, balloon animals, snow cones, a kids home run derby, an adaptive equipment swap, raffles, and a silent auction. A Wiffle Ball Tournament, organized with @nwawiffleball, offers both recreational and competitive divisions for all ages. Proceeds support children with Down syndrome by funding access to equipment, treatment, therapy, and education.

Designed for children ages 2 and under, this playtime offers a welcoming space to explore and connect with little ones of similar age and size. During the dedicated period, the play area is reserved for this age group, and older children are welcomed after the exclusive time ends. Feel free to stay for as long as works for you. Visit punch passes and monthly play passes are accepted. Online registration is optional and free, and it helps add your name to the list and reserve a spot. Space is limited, and walk-ins are admitted until capacity is reached.

A four-week art club for ages 8 to 13 at St. Peters Cultural Arts Centre offers a one-hour session each week focused on creative exploration. Young artists will experiment with paint, drawing tools, and mixed media while learning approachable techniques and completing a different project every week inspired by a variety of artists, themes, and styles. Participants can build confidence, strengthen skills, and enjoy a relaxed setting that encourages imagination and new friendships. All supplies are provided, and space is limited to 15 seats. This program is a drop-off and pick-up format, with the option for a parent or guardian to stay if needed. Classes are nonrefundable. One missed day can be prorated if arranged in advance of purchase. If a student is ill and must miss a session, a credit code for the value of that day may be issued for future use. Bring blankets or chairs for comfortable seating. Paved parking is offered at the Legacy Park entrance, next to City Hall, and behind the park at Kochanski Multi Sports Field, and parking on the grass is not allowed. The amphitheater welcomes visitors arriving on foot, by bike, or by golf cart, but golf carts should stay off the amphitheater hill and grassy areas. Please use designated vehicle spaces only, and note that the first two rows of parking in Legacy Park are reserved for golf carts, accessible parking, and band loading and unloading.

A family-friendly mountain bike ride explores the trails at St. Charles County’s Indian Camp Creek Park on a recurring basis, taking place monthly on the first Tuesday from May through October. The route covers about 4.5 miles in total, with roughly 3.5 miles of easy singletrack through the woods and a gentle mile on pavement back to the parking area. An optional 15-minute stop at the playground is planned during the paved return. The selected trail is the easiest in the county, featuring mostly flat dirt with the occasional root or stick and a small creek crossing that can be walked. Short breaks for water and celebratory high fives are included, and there are convenient options to return early with bailouts around the 1, 2, and 3 mile marks. Helmets are required and each rider should arrive with their own bike. Bring plenty of water for everyone in your vehicle, and consider bug spray as the season progresses. The ride is intended to help kids experience real singletrack in the woods and is open to anyone who can ride a pedal bike without training wheels. Little ones, about age three and under, may participate with a parent using a Mac Ride or Shotgun saddle. An adult must accompany any children on the ride. Upon arrival, use the first lot just past the bridge near the first playground and park on the side farthest from the play area. This activity depends on trail conditions, which are confirmed through the St. Charles County Parks Rainout Line website.
