The performance is entirely live with no backing tracks, focusing on the songs rather than costumes. Billy the Kid celebrates early Billy Joel, mixing hits such as Piano Man, My Life, and You May Be Right with album cuts like Scenes from an Italian Restaurant, Vienna, and Summer Highland Falls. The group appears as a six piece rock band with a three piece horn section featuring members of Dogs of Society and Breakfast in America for a classic 1970s sound. General Admission provides access to the lawn and the standing room pit, while Reserved Seating offers stadium style fixed seats near the stage. The venue is primarily general admission, with the green stadium seating reserved for those holding Reserved Seating tickets. Pricing is $20 for General Admission in advance and $25 on the day of show, $25 for Reserved Seating in advance and $30 on the day of show, and a four pack General Admission option for $60. Lawn chairs are not available to rent, so general admission guests are encouraged to bring their own. Set times are subject to change without notice.

Food will be available from Beverly Ann's cookie and the Cluck Oink Moo Sliders truck, with additional choices at nearby Cottleville restaurants and more food trucks across the street at Frankie Martin's Garden. Bring blankets or chairs for comfortable seating. Paved parking is offered at the Legacy Park entrance, next to City Hall, and behind the park at Kochanski Multi Sports Field, and parking on the grass is not allowed. The amphitheater welcomes visitors arriving on foot, by bike, or by golf cart, but golf carts should stay off the amphitheater hill and grassy areas. Please use designated vehicle spaces only, and note that the first two rows of parking in Legacy Park are reserved for golf carts, accessible parking, and band loading and unloading.
