The format features a 20 minute practice, then two 15 minute races, with the second race using a reverse grid to mix up the field. The series rotates through circuits such as the Indianapolis Road Course, Laguna Seca, Mid-Ohio, Road America, and Circuit of the Americas. An in-person social hour at Peak of the Vine brings together atheists, skeptics, humanists, freethinkers, and agnostics from across the Triangle. The venue offers an extensive beverage menu, including a wide range of wines like bubbly, red, white, rose, orange, and green, plus local beers on tap and in cans, hard seltzers and ciders, THC-infused drinks, and soft drinks. A craft cocktail bar is next door, and drinks can be enjoyed in either space. Food options on site are limited to chips and pre-packaged meat and cheese platters, and outside food is welcome. Parking in front is limited, but free lots are accessible via Templeton St and the larger Saunders St lot, which includes free EV charging if spots are available. Evangelizing is not appropriate for this setting, discrimination will not be tolerated, and anyone causing a disturbance or intentionally making others uncomfortable will be asked to leave.

Triangle NC Weekly Thursday night meetups
A friendly Canicross group run meets at the Old Reedy Creek Road Trailhead. Participants of all fitness levels are welcome, and the out and back format works for both running and hiking with canine companions. Routes vary with the weather, choosing either the multiuse trail into Umstead, a wide fine gravel road that typically goes up to 4 miles, or the lake trail into Lake Crabtree County Park, a singletrack path that is about 1.1 miles to the lake access before turning around. For a smooth experience, please give other dogs plenty of space and avoid on-leash, nose to nose greetings. Keep distance from the dog ahead and announce when passing. This is a reactive dog friendly group. Recommended gear includes a waist belt, bungee leash, and y-front harness. Extra belts, bungee lines, and harnesses are available to try, and help with equipment fitting is offered. Paces vary and all speeds are welcome, including those who prefer to hike. On singletrack, no one is dropped. On the double track gravel road, the route is a straight out and back, so someone may not always be alongside you, but everyone is accounted for back at the parking lot. The group cancels for thunderstorms and extreme heat, with thresholds for heat varying by time of year.

NC Zoukfest returns for a fourth year, presented by Shannon and Jason with RDU ZOUK, bringing the community back together at Elite Ballroom Dance Studio in a setting that welcomes both local dancers and visitors. Featured artists include Kuna and Tori, Camilla, and Gui and Nelly, with music by DJ Tiger and DJ soniKBliss. Special guests include Brandon and Zuzanna, as well as Lunna and Gabi. Additional artist and DJ announcements are planned. Programming spans several days. Thursday afternoon offers an optional add-on focused on blending zouk and homesteading, separate from the festival ticket, with topics to be chosen by interest that may include foraging, sourdough, kombucha, homemade vinegars, or planting a food forest. Thursday night, also a separate cost, features a beginner zouk class, a class with an artist, and a mini pre-party social. From Friday through Sunday, the schedule centers on daytime classes, meal breaks, and late socials, with a sound bath experience on Saturday and a mini final social on Sunday. All classes and socials take place at Elite Ballroom Dance Studio. Restaurants are within walking distance, and there are many nearby hotel and short term rental options. Ticket tiers are available and prices increase as each tier sells out. Passes are nonrefundable and may be transferred to another person.
