Eight local networking groups face off in a friendly team competition that blends community networking, playful family reunion style games, food, and fundraising for a meaningful cause benefiting Big Brothers Big Sisters through Big Day at the Lake. The experience mixes casual meet and greet energy with organized challenges, so it feels part mixer, part tournament, part charity drive. Teams built by each networking group field players across ten events, including cornhole, HORSE basketball, ping pong, 301 darts, a Chippo golf contest, giant Jenga, coed 2v2 grass volleyball, a mini football pass and catch played all at once, a relay of everyday tasks done blindfolded, and a tug of war. Participants can focus on a single game or jump into several. Points accumulate across the schedule with five for first place, four for second, three for third, two for fourth, one for fifth, and none for sixth through eighth. Player registration is $25 and includes entry and a team T shirt, with each team outfitted in its own color. Captains may register and pay for multiple players, and individuals can also sign up on their own. Every registration includes event access, the shirt, and a chance to connect with the local business community while supporting youth mentoring.

The gathering features recognition of U.S. service members, opportunities for reflection around community fires, stories of perseverance, and efforts that build connection while raising support for veteran wellness. All proceeds benefit Operation Battle Horse and its mission to help veterans heal through equine connection and transformative experiences. The Ahlara Sisterhood is a monthly circle centered on healing, meaningful connection, and a sense of sacred community among women. Participants gather in a warm, welcoming setting where stories are shared, insights are exchanged, and collective restoration can unfold. Each meeting offers dedicated time for reflection and conversation, and some gatherings invite guest speakers who share wisdom and inspiration to enrich the experience. The intention throughout is to foster deeper connection to self, to one another, and to the shared path of healing. This is a donation-based gathering, with monthly contributions given to a local charity so the care offered within the circle also reaches the broader community. Since this favorite is not often screened during the holidays, the presentation offers a special treat for Full Bloom audiences.

Step into Narnia on a guided walking tour that brings the classic tale to life around downtown Statesville. Instead of sitting in a theater, audiences move with the story, traveling alongside Lucy, Edmund, and Mr. Tumnus as scenes unfold on the streets. Along the way, cross paths with the White Witch, witness the struggle for Narnia, and encounter Aslan’s army in an immersive, interactive experience for all ages. This stage adaptation is written by Joseph Robinette from the work of C. S. Lewis and is presented by special arrangement with The Dramatic Publishing Company of Woodstock, Illinois. Performances are offered on select Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings, with tickets released first to season ticket holders and then to the general public.
