A walk-in adoption event at Lee County Animal Shelter offers a chance to meet cats and dogs ready for loving homes. In recognition of World Rabies Day, the event features a low cost rabies vaccine clinic. Vaccines are $10, with a 3 year option available when proof of prior vaccination is provided and a 1 year option available without previous documentation. For the safety of everyone, dogs must stay on non retractable leashes and cats must remain in secure carriers. Dogs and cats receiving rabies vaccines must be at least 12 weeks old. Please ensure your pet is comfortable around people and other animals, or plan to let them wait in an air conditioned vehicle until their turn. The day focuses on fun, education, and responsible pet care, celebrating the bond between people and animals.
