Take part in a community 5K run and walk alongside a half mile fun run on a rolling route that winds through Landis Ridge Industrial Park and along Old Beatty Ford Road in Landis. After the 5K concludes, awards are presented for the top three overall, the top three in each age group for male and female participants, and the top three finishers age eight and under in the fun run. This first annual Southern Touch craft show in Salisbury centers on Christmas and highlights creative vendors. The event is currently accepting participants such as crafters, candle makers, jewelry designers, sign and home decor creators, artisans, crochet and other handmade goods, baked goods, face painting, food trucks, and nonprofit organizations, with additional categories welcome. Celebrate the season at the future home of the D.C. and Frances Linn Community Park during the 9th annual downtown tree lighting. Guests can meet Frosty and the Grinch, enjoy children’s craft activities, and pick up treats from food vendors. A letter-writing station will be available for messages to Santa. The festivities conclude with the lighting of the tree.
