Expect themed drinks and other spirits at each stop, with the night wrapping up with a dance party at Waxhaw Tap House, which has a $5 cover. Wristbands are $5 and available at the Tap House, with proceeds supporting Teal Butterfly and other ovarian cancer initiatives. Participating haunts include Emmet's Social Table, Middle James Brewing Company, Cork and Ale, Waxhaw Creamery, Mary O'Neills, Great Wagon Road Distilling Co., Jekyll and Hyde Taphouse & Grill, and Waxhaw Tap House. Prizes will recognize standout costumes, and rideshare is recommended over broomsticks. The walk also spotlights key symptoms of ovarian cancer such as persistent bloating, abdominal or pelvic pain, feeling full quickly after eating, urgent or changed bathroom habits, cramping, and fatigue. If these symptoms continue for more than a few weeks, consider checking in with an OB/GYN. A Pap smear does not screen for ovarian cancer.

Now in its sixth year, this trunk-or-treat made just for dogs turns Carolina Pet Pantry into a Halloween-themed scene with decorated trunks, costumes, and lots of tail wags. It is promoted as the only dog-focused trunk-or-treat in the area. Admission is $5 per dog to participate, and every dollar from participation supports Bullies 2 the Rescue. Expect festive trunks filled with canine treats, trick-or-treating designed only for dogs, standout costumes, dog-focused vendors, bone broth sno cones, tasting tables for dogs, barbecue plates for $25, nail trims at half price, giveaways and freebies, plus plenty of photo opportunities, food, fun and friends. For everyone’s safety and to take part in the trick-or-treating, dogs should be friendly, remain on leash at all times, and arrive in costume. With a coupon, prices start at $169 and then increase in $50 to $100 steps into premium options, covering entry level, mid-range, and high end choices, and proceeds from every sale benefit the band students. Each mattress is ordered new in the size selected, with home delivery available and removal of an old mattress if needed. Typical timing is 2 to 4 weeks for delivery and disposal, while free pickup from the Charlotte warehouse is usually ready in 2 to 3 weeks. No money down financing is available with approved credit. Accessories such as adjustable power bases, box springs, pillows, protectors, and metal frames can be added to a mattress purchase. The farm has felt the effects of Helene, and support is welcome whether or not a tree is purchased. Wreaths and bows are available, and there is no requirement to buy a tree or pre-register to take part. Pre-registration with payment will open ahead of time for wreaths, which often sell out quickly. For those not attending, a limited number of wreath orders can be arranged for pickup and brought back by the group. Day-of purchases are cash only. Participants may bring a chainsaw or have the farm staff handle cutting. Staff can secure trees to vehicles upon request. Protecting your car with a tarp or blankets and bringing tie-downs is recommended, with these items available on site. After the tree farm visit, the outing continues with lunch and an afternoon activity, with additional details to come.
