Music

Quicksand + Bane

andmoreagain brings Quicksand and Bane to Motorco Music Hall with support from Soul Blind. Quicksand, formed in New York City in 1990 by members connected to Gorilla Biscuits, Youth of Today, Burn, and Bold, fused hardcore intensity with a heavier, groove-led sound that helped shape what is now known as post-hardcore. Their history includes the 1990s releases Slip and Manic Compression, a 2012 reunion that led to Interiors and Distant Populations, and a new chapter centered on Bring On The Psychics, which ties the punch of their early work to the experimentation of their recent era. The lineup features Walter Schreifels on guitar and vocals, Alan Cage on drums, and Sergio Vega on bass, with the latest album recorded with Jon Markson. Bane and Soul Blind round out the bill. Tickets are $30 in advance and $35 the day of the show.
