Devon Flaherty & His Railroad Ramblers, featuring Andrew Walker on fiddle and Andrew Berger-Gross on guitar, are an award-winning old-time trio from the Raleigh-Durham region of North Carolina. With deep ties to the Carolina Piedmont, they honor local traditions while thoughtfully adding their own voice. Regulars at fiddlers’ conventions and festivals around the country, they have earned recognition both individually and as a group. The Oak City Serenaders share string band music rooted in the turn of the 20th century, spotlighting popular dances from Italy and the Americas. Peter Holsapple made his mark with the dBs alongside Chris Stamey, Gene Holder, and Will Rigby, becoming the principal singer and songwriter after Stamey’s departure. He performed as an auxiliary musician with R.E.M. and Hootie & the Blowfish, joined the Continental Drifters, and released solo albums including Out of the Way and Game Day. The dBs reunited in 2024 to support re-releases of their catalog, and his third solo album, produced by Don Dixon, was released on April 12, 2025.
