Presented in collaboration between the Northern Plains Botanic Garden Society and West Acres, the market strengthens the success of area growers, gardeners, and producers, supports a healthy community, and offers a welcoming place to connect. Early in the season the selection may be lighter while crops mature, with more fruits, vegetables, and additional booths appearing as the harvest progresses and conditions allow. Fraser, Ltd. offers a comprehensive CPR, First Aid, and AED course focused on building confidence to respond to real emergencies involving adults, children, and infants. It is designed for individuals pursuing certification as well as organizations seeking staff training, with practical, hands-on instruction led by instructors certified through the American Red Cross. The fee is $100 per participant and includes a two-year Adult and Pediatric CPR/First Aid/AED certification card upon successful completion. Group training can be arranged at your location for 6 to 12 participants. The curriculum meets requirements for childcare licensing and emphasizes personalized instruction with cost-conscious pricing. A special Thursday dinner at The Lighthouse Church & Fargo First United Methodist Church showcases flavors from Ecuador with Guest Chef Holger Loor. Equine-assisted learning and Whole Health practices provide a distinctive way to build self-awareness, strengthen relationships with self and others, and take time to recharge in nature. Traditional outfits like lederhosen and dirndls are welcome, and a hearty appetite will fit right in. Carlos Simon’s Four Black American Dances brings contemporary vitality shaped by Black American dance traditions, with percussion that suggests motion at every turn. Samuel Barber’s Violin Concerto, performed by guest soloist William Hagen, stands as a treasured lyrical centerpiece in the American repertoire. Howard Hanson’s Symphony No. 2, the Romantic from 1930, places feeling at the forefront, unfolding in expansive themes and luminous orchestral colors. Together, these works trace nearly a century of composition and offer a vivid portrait of the American symphonic tradition.

This annual fall swap meet offers space for sellers and an easy way for shoppers to browse. Vendor spaces cost $20 and include entry for one person. Spectators can attend for $5.

Unwind with a relaxing, hands-on class led by Bizzy of Lilibet Crafty Co. and create a fall foliage design using Kinusaiga, a Japanese technique that layers and tucks fabric into a colorful, no-sew mosaic. Choose from a variety of templates, learn the process, and finish a 6 inch by 6 inch artwork to take home. This workshop is for ages 16 and up, and each participant must have their own ticket. Registration covers materials and instruction to begin a crocheted project. Refunds are available if requested at least 72 hours before the workshop starts. After that, refunds are not issued unless a waitlist participant can take the spot, and registrations may be transferred to another person. A minimum of 10 participants is required, and if that number is not reached you will be notified and refunded.
