Enjoy a newer, family friendly movie beneath the evening sky in downtown Gering. Films begin around dusk at Gering Civic Plaza, and there is no cost to attend. Pack blankets, lawn chairs, and favorite snacks for a relaxed evening of community and summer fun.

The third annual Sugar Valley Showcase Car Show brings enthusiasts together at Transwest Ford for a celebration of cars that also supports a local food bank. Admission is free for the public, and there is no cost to register a vehicle. All makes and models are invited to participate, with registration accepted by email at autoinfo@transwest.com. Expect food trucks, music from a DJ, and award presentations during the event.

Eligibility is based on gross monthly income and household size. The limit is $2,348 for a household of one, $3,173 for two, $3,998 for three, $4,823 for four, $5,648 for five, $6,473 for six, $7,298 for seven, and $8,123 for eight. For each additional person, add $825 to the gross monthly income limit.

A welcoming Latin dance class at Papa Moon offers a fun and accessible way to learn while working toward personal dance goals. The atmosphere encourages participants to feel happier and healthier through movement. No experience or partner is required, and singles, couples, and groups are all welcome. Doors open beforehand for drinks and socializing, and a free social dance follows the class.
