Rooted in Pennsylvania’s Lehigh and Delaware River valley, he has become a noted voice for original music and has appeared at Musikfest, Zoellner Arts Center, Godfrey Daniels, SteelStacks, Hopewell Theater, and World Cafe Live. A scholarship to the Augusta Heritage Center helped shape his distinctive fingerstyle and deep regard for tradition. He has supported or shared bills with John Gorka, Richie Havens, Jeffrey Gaines, Tim Reynolds, Darrell Scott, and Chris Barron of Spin Doctors, and was active in the early 2000s Anti-Folk scene at the Sidewalk Café with Regina Spektor, Nellie McKay, and the Moldy Peaches. Stage 33 Live is a cozy, industrial-tinged listening room in a former factory that champions original work by local, regional, and national performers. There is no bar or kitchen, and coffee, soft drinks, juice, water, and snacks are available by donation. The project is volunteer run as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, with help from many individuals and seasonal support from The Island Corporation, WOOL-FM, Guilford Sound, and the Rockingham Arts & Museum Project.
