For more than five years, the community has gathered on the first Thursday each month to take the stage or cheer from the audience, keeping a friendly tradition going strong. Board Game Night at Triple Play Games in Claremont, NH welcomes players to bring their own favorites or explore the many demo games available. It is an easy way to sit down for some tabletop fun and discover something new.

Skye Consort & Emma Björling present a trans-Atlantic musical journey, weaving traditional songs and tunes from Sweden, Norway, Ireland, Scotland, England, Québec, Acadia, and the United States with original pieces. The ensemble blends voices, fiddle, nyckelharpa, cello, bouzouki, banjo, and percussion to create a collaborative sound that moves from spinning polskas and driving reels to heartfelt love songs, luminous hymns, and new works. Fiddler and nyckelharpa player Simon Alexandre is an experienced chamber musician and orchestral violinist who performs with the Ximenez String Quartet and the Orchestre Philharmonique du Québec. He moved to Sweden at 17 to study the nyckelharpa and also plays violin, nyckelharpa, and Hardanger fiddle in the folk duo La Traverse. Swedish vocalist Emma Björling leads with voice, percussion, and shruti box. She is a singer, composer, and arranger known for work with Kongero, Kongero/WÖR-Songbooks, and Lyy, serves on the board of the North Atlantic Song Community, teaches at Framnäs Collage, and leads workshops internationally. Seán Dagher, on lead voice, Irish bouzouki, and banjo, performs, arranges, and composes across folk and classical traditions, plays with The Swindlers, The Reese Witherspoons, and Gairloch, co-directs La Nef, and has contributed music to the Assassin’s Creed series, including Black Flag, as well as appearances with The Longest Johns. Cellist and vocalist Amanda Keesmaat is a key figure in Montréal’s early music community, has recorded and performed with noted singers, soloists, and ensembles, founded Space Time Continuo, collaborates regularly with La Nef, and has toured widely in the Americas and Europe. Presented by West Claremont Center for Music and the Arts. Tickets are by donation, and students attend free. Advance pay-what-you-choose pricing is available with a suggested range of 20 to 60. Suggested contributions of 5 to 20 suit tighter household budgets, while 25 to 60 is for those able to give more, and no one is turned away for lack of funds. At the Fireside Inn in West Lebanon, New Hampshire, a large community consignment sale brings together more than 100 families from the Upper Valley to offer new and gently used goods for children, along with apparel for women and men. Shoppers can expect significant savings, with prices often 50 to 90 percent below regular retail. The assortment covers clothing, shoes, and accessories, plus books and everyday essentials for feeding and diapering. There is also a wide range of gear, including carriers, car seats, Bumbos, highchairs, booster seats, bouncers, ExerSaucers, pack and plays, swings, gliders, and cribs. Part of the Ray Massucco 2026 Concert Series, the third installment features Fred Eaglesmith, a songwriter raised on a Southern Ontario farm with 11 brothers and sisters whose work has been recorded by Miranda Lambert, Alan Jackson, and Toby Keith. He has logged hundreds of thousands of miles with the Flying Squirrels, Smoking Losers, and the Traveling Steam Show, often in unreliable tour buses. In 1999, a Bellows Falls weekend dedicated to his music began and later grew into the Roots on the River festival. There have even been Fred trains across Canada, Fred boats to Newfoundland, and a Route 66 Tin Can Caravan. He returns to Bellows Falls with his new band, The Velvet Frogs. Nightcap Band makes a special stop from their holiday tour to mark the anniversary of the Daddy's After Dark series.
