Cherry Hill Public Library Foam Party
Celebrate the Summer Reading Program with a bubbly foam party at Cherry Hill Public Library. This gathering is open exclusively to Cherry Hill Public Library cardholders and participants in the Summer Reading Program. Wear swimwear or clothing that can get wet, since there will be plenty of foam and splashes. Bringing a towel for each child is recommended to make drying off easier.
Cherry Hill Public LibraryHealth & Wellness Night | Cannab*s Education
This free event for veterans offers cannabis education, resources, and community connections in Englewood Park, New Jersey. Speak with cannabis brands, industry professionals, and educators to learn about different product options, how they work, safer use practices, and key points to consider when making informed choices. Expect a welcoming, judgment-free setting with time for questions and access to helpful information. The focus is on learning, not sales. Registration is encouraged but not required, and veterans who register in advance will be included in a drawing for a guided tour of a New Jersey cannabis cultivation facility. There will be no sales, distribution, or consumption of cannabis at the event. The exact location within the park will be shared with registered attendees.
Franklin TownshipCartooning Basics
Markeim Art Center offers a four-week cartooning series for young creators ages 7 to 12. Guided by a working cartoonist and local elementary art teacher, participants build core drawing skills and then apply them to craft expressive characters, distinctive settings, and clear, engaging comic panels. Beginners are welcome, and the focus is on helping each student tell an original story through pictures. The class is taught by Zack “Zap” Brandinelli, known to students as Mr. Z. He teaches art at the elementary and middle school levels in Maple Shade, New Jersey, apprenticed with a comic book artist in high school, and earned an illustration degree from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. His interests include sequential storytelling and cartooning across many mediums, with a specialty in drawing and digital illustration plus an interest in small scale sculpture. He continues to teach, take commissions, and work toward self publishing a book featuring his own characters.
Markeim Arts CenterNCLL TBall Practice
