    Blessings in the Bag Event

    This community effort focuses on preparing and donating care bags that support people experiencing homelessness in Camden. Participants are encouraged to bring adult clothing, toiletries, food, and other essential items. If staying to help distribute items is not possible, drop-offs are welcome. Many lunch bags include a turkey or peanut butter and jelly sandwich with a small bag of chips. For safety, pack toiletries separately from any food. Toiletry bags often include travel size toothpaste, a toothbrush, shampoo, conditioner, a comb or hair brush, feminine hygiene products, and mouthwash. Bringing 5 to 10 complete care bags is requested. All types of clothing, including gently used items, are accepted. Organizers also provide produce, prepared foods, and other items when available.
