Spend a relaxed day of board gaming at The Guild Hall Hobby in the Moorestown Mall. Explore a library of more than 600 titles that are free to play on Sundays, or bring your own favorites to the table. The store keeps a list of most games on its website, and new releases may appear in the library before they show up on that list. Please note the shop has moved and is now directly across from the food court in the spot where FYE used to be, straight ahead from the food court entrance. RSVPs are helpful, as the event may be canceled if only the organizer is signed up.

At MJ Kidz Speech, this six week series welcomes children 12 to 48 months and their caregivers for playful 30 minute sessions that build early communication. Licensed speech-language pathologists lead each class with a mix of music, movement, sensory exploration, simple crafts, and practical tips for supporting speech and language. Enrolling in the full sequence is encouraged for the benefits of consistency and social growth, though families may register for single classes to suit their schedules. Sessions take place at the same time each week. The first Baby and Me class is free, and each additional class is $10. Questions about payment or requests for assistance are welcome.

The Enchanted Mini Theater welcomes families to a refreshed Mommy and Me experience from KN Productions, now in a charming new home and carrying forward the heart and storybook sparkle of the former Kid’s Mini Theater at Deptford Mall. Toy Box Adventure draws little audiences into a playful world where favorite toy box friends spring to life. A brave cowgirl toy and a sweet doll in a pink bonnet lead children through a warm tale of courage, laughter, and big-hearted fun. Over the course of one hour, enjoy lively storytelling with music, creative movement and dancing, hands-on moments, sing-alongs, and surprise interactions with characters. A character meet and greet with time for photos is included, along with snacks, small prizes, and fun giveaways, all in a cozy setting designed for young imaginations. Tickets are $15 per child, while adults and children under 1 attend at no cost. Space is limited. If spots remain, tickets can be purchased at the door with cash or Venmo. Please bring a yoga mat to settle in for an hour of movement, music, and play. The program takes place inside the ZZ Dance location, and performances are scheduled on the fourth Wednesday of each month.

This small-group program for ages 10 to 15 is designed for children and teens with ADHD who want extra support building friendship, communication, and social problem-solving skills. Each week a single skill is introduced, demonstrated, and practiced with peers, with in-the-moment coaching during structured activities and games. Examples include joining group conversations, starting and maintaining conversations, perspective taking or reading the room, handling winning and losing appropriately, managing frustration and disappointment, trading information instead of monologuing, self-control and impulse management, cooperation and teamwork, resolving social conflicts, and building and maintaining friendships. The goal is to help participants move from simply knowing social rules to using them confidently in real situations. Led by Mike Marchionne, M.S., BCBA, the group offers a supportive setting where participants can build confidence, make connections, and receive ongoing guidance and feedback throughout the session. A new skill is taught each week, skills are modeled and practiced through activities, live coaching is provided in the moment, and there are structured opportunities to interact with peers. After each session, parents receive a brief summary with practice suggestions. Enrollment is limited to 10 participants per group.

Express Pet Health offers walk-in clinics so pet families can access essential preventive care without scheduling ahead. Services are convenient and affordable, provided by a wellness and veterinary medical team. Hosted at the Animal Adoption Center.

Settle in under the evening sky for a family-friendly screening of Night at the Museum in Friendship Grove, the library’s backyard at CHPL. Bring blankets and chairs for a cozy spot on the grass and enjoy a relaxed wrap up to the summer season. Admission is free and all are welcome. Concessions will be available for purchase, including popcorn, candy, and drinks, and purchases are cash only. This event is supported by the Friends of the Library.
