Free events in Las Cruces, NM

These ongoing Sunday morning meditations focus on steadying the mind through shared presence. The gathering is inclusive and open to everyone, whether seasoned in practice, just beginning, or anywhere in between, and drop-ins are welcome. No registration is required. Attendees are encouraged to come exactly as they are for quiet, seated meditation in community. Sessions are led by Molly Butler. Donations are accepted in support of the hosting 501(c) non-profit organization.

Highland & Hide hosts free line dancing classes in a friendly, supportive setting where participants cheer each other on. Open to all levels and welcoming to first-timers, the sessions let you learn at your own pace, move to the music, meet new people, and build confidence while having fun. A BYOB social lounge is available for a relaxed, social vibe.

The Rio Grande Theatre welcomes the community to a new First Friday Open Mic series, offering a stage to musicians, poets, comedians, and performers of all kinds in a supportive, professional setting. There is no admission charge and everyone is welcome, and the event is open to all ages. Performers can sign up on site, and a piano, drum kit, and full PA system are available. Concessions are offered with snacks, refreshments, beer, wine, and spirits. The series celebrates local talent and the energy of live community performance at the Rio Grande Theatre.
