The 60th Stockade Walkabout is a fall open house tour through Schenectady’s Historic Stockade neighborhood, New York State’s first historic district. Visitors can step inside distinctive private homes and learn about architectural details and the families who lived there. The experience also includes music, appearances by historical characters, exhibits at the Schenectady County Historical Society, an archaeology dig, and displays of artifacts left by early residents. Locations on the route include the Schenectady County Historical Society, the Stockade Inn, neighborhood churches, and other sites. It is presented in partnership with the Stockade StreetFest.
