Sunday Narrated Lock Cruise w/ Live Music aboard Colonial Belle w/ Josh Ketchum

400 Packetts Lndg, Fairport · verified Sep 13
    See details

Step aboard the Colonial Belle for a narrated lock cruise with live music featuring Josh Ketchum. The trip leaves Fairport and travels about 8 miles to Lock E32 in Pittsford, where the boat locks up and down roughly 25 feet while the Captain explains how the system works. After the lock experience, relax with instrumental pieces and vocals as the cruise returns the 8 miles back to Fairport. Throughout the journey, the Captain shares stories and history of the Erie Canal, points out notable sights along the route, offers background on the Colonial Belle and its family-run operation since 1989, and answers questions. Bagged snacks and a wide selection of non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages are available for purchase from the fully licensed bar, with cash and credit cards accepted. Outside food or drinks, including bottled water, are not permitted due to regulations. Children ages 3 and under ride free but must have a booking so they are included in the required passenger count. The experience includes lock passage and a three-hour narrated cruise with live music. Please check in at the dock and be ready to board 15 minutes before departure. All public cruises require a minimum number of passengers to sail. If a performer has an unexpected conflict, a comparable substitute will be arranged when possible, or a refund of the price difference between a narrated cruise with live music and a regular narrated cruise will be provided in the event of a last-minute cancellation.
