Nina Rao leads a kirtan at Yajamahe Yoga. She learned traditional bhajans from her grandfather in a South Indian village at the age of nine and later renewed her connection to chanting with Krishna Das in New York in 1996. For many years she has been Krishna Das’s business manager and accompanist, and she is a recording artist with the albums Antarayaami, Knower of All Hearts and Anubhav, with a new album, Bhumi Devi, set for release this summer. Nina regularly leads kirtan, workshops, and retreats nationally and internationally. Space is limited, so advance signup is recommended to reserve a place. Admission is $40.

Belle Voci, an intergenerational choral society from Long Island, presents a Rose Remembrance concert and ceremony at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Huntington. The ensemble brings together professional and amateur singers with a shared mission to support cancer prevention, cure, and healing catharsis through uplifting choral performance and meaningful ceremony. Tickets are available in advance, at the door, or online. Belle Voci is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, and donations are 100% tax deductible as allowed by law. Contributions help underwrite concert production, scholarships, educational workshops, and charitable giving. Belle Voci has supported the American Cancer Society, Optimum Health Institute, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Northwell Hospice Care Network, Cancer Hope Network, and the Huntington Breast Cancer Action Coalition.
